RACE RULES

Qualifying will open with a 5 minute practice at 5:00 PM Eastern. Upon completion of practice, we will hold a 2 minute, 2 lap, iRacing type Qualifying Session.

Qualifying will be set to max scrutiny, and you MUST continue to gain speed down the back stretch as you come to your first lap. Remember, if you touch the wall both laps, we can’t help you. If you “cheese” we will forfeit your Qualifying efforts. There will be no hard braking on the entry of turn 3, simply get up to speed and make 2 laps.

Upon Completion of Qualifying, you will be placed in a Heat Race. Each Heat race will be 15 laps with a 10 minute time limit.

Heat & Features will have 0 fast repairs, 0 additional sets of tires, and a 13X DQ limit

No caution laps will count in HEATS. We will expedite yellows as we can. These sessions will have 3 green white checkered attempts, and a 30 minute time limit. All restarts double file unless the Race Director deems otherwise (consecutive yellows, etc)

The top 6 from each Heat will advance to the 40 lap feature with a broadcast estimated start time of 6:00 PM Eastern.

FEATURE will count caution laps, but we will expedite yellows when possible. 3 green white checkered attempts, no time limit.

RESTARTS; the initial start is on the green flag. Leaders must maintain a THREE CAR LENGTH GAP on the pace car when coming to green. The restart rule is simple, if the Pace Car were solid, you can not hit it. If you drive through it, you will be asked to give up one position in a timely manner. ALL CARS must maintain a decent gap behind the car in front of them. There will be no hanging back to attempt a pass before the S/F line, and you can not improve your position unless there is a horrible missed shift in front of you. The leader DOES NOT have lane choice.

Lucky dogs, wave arounds, & cautions will be turned on via iRacing for Heats & the Feature. We will not throw the yellow, ever, unless otherwise stated. (Halfway/possibly 15 to go in feature, read above)

We will NOT CLEAR black flags in ANY session, unless it is an iRacing glitch.

To minimize the question of favoritism, & to delete any gray area, BOTH CARS involved in the yellow will receive an EOL, unless a driver speaks up and claims it. If you get spun, you and the car that spun you will go to the rear of the field. If you receive 3 EOLs in any given session, you will be asked to leave.

Last lap contact will be reviewed and discussed amongst the race admin team. No results are final until official word has come from the EPI or Speed-U social media pages.

LEAGUE RULES

This contest is for racers who are ages 13-18 only.

There is a minimum requirement for iRacing license class (D Class) and a minimum iRating requirement of 1000.

$25 entry fee (one time for the entire 8 race season)

Race manipulation and/or intentional altering of the outcome of a race will not be tolerated in any form.

Intentional wrecking will not be tolerated and may result in league removal under admin discretion. This includes after the checkered flag.

The final top 7 in points at the end of the regular season in addition to 1 driver from the Speed-U simulator fast time contest will advance to the Fr8 Great 8 Championship Series to compete for the ultimate prize of a funded Legend car race on the Thunder Ring at Atlanta Motor Speedway.
